About Kayla
I am a young woman who wears many hats and has many talents. I am currently studying to become a Medical Laboratory Technician here in NYC. I have great interest in International Business, Language, Music & Fine Arts, Teaching, and Veterinary Practices just to name a few. I love to inspire people and bring out the best in them.
I currently hold an A in College level Writing. I possess a portfolio of highly scored writing pieces from my time in high school. I am an Honor Roll student, and a Marty Markowitz Best Of Brooklyn and Principal's List recipient.

Teaching Method: 1 on 1 with 2-4 practice materials to reinforce materials. I provide short but effective assignments to reinforce learning material.
My typical lesson plan consists of introducing the topic, how it works/demonstrating, breaking the topic down to further understand it so that the student can make their own inferences and gain their own understanding, and then practice with the student with practice materials to bring the topic full circle.
I focus on:
- word usage (synonyms and antonyms) and adding fluidity to writing
- developing writers voice
- persuasive writing
- argumentative writing
- proofreading
- basic and intermediate grammar and spelling practice and development
Besides these focus points, please communicate to me what you would like to work on, and I will be happy to assist you.
The lessons are for 6-12th grade students.
