About Prethi

Hi! I'm a passionate and friendly tutor who believes in making learning both effective and enjoyable. With strong academic skills and experience teaching students from Grades 1 to 12, I specialize in breaking down complex topics—especially in science and math, to help students feel confident and in control. I’m currently pursuing a future in dentistry, which reflects my strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and health sciences. Outside of academics, I’m also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and a dedicated piano player, which helps me bring discipline, creativity, and rhythm into my teaching approach. I love connecting with students of all ages, building a supportive learning environment, and encouraging open conversation. Whether you're aiming to boost your grades, prepare for a competition, or just need help understanding a tough topic, I’m here to help, and always happy to chat!

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology & Techniques: My approach is student-centered, focusing on building a strong conceptual foundation through clear explanations, visual aids, real-life examples, and step-by-step problem-solving. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning needs, whether they benefit more from visual learning, active recall, or guided practice. I regularly use assessments and feedback to track progress and adjust pacing accordingly. Typical Lesson Plan: Each lesson begins with a brief review of previous content to reinforce retention, followed by a clear explanation of new material. I then guide students through examples, encourage them to solve similar problems independently, and address any misconceptions. The session ends with a quick summary and a short homework or practice task to reinforce learning. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor: I have experience teaching students from Grades 1 to 12 and specialize in science subjects such as Biology and Chemistry, essential areas for students interested in healthcare or STEM careers. As someone pursuing dentistry, I bring not only academic strength but also real-world applications of scientific concepts. My ability to connect with students of all ages, explain complex topics in simple ways, and create a supportive environment makes learning both effective and enjoyable.
