About Ann
I’m a former therapist and teacher who has carried a passion for writing throughout every chapter of my career. With a strong foundation in academic writing and research, I help students and creatives alike develop their own unique voices and sharpen their storytelling skills. Currently, I’m pursuing filmmaking and learning to write screenplays. Whether you’re working on essays, creative writing, or more complex projects, I’m here to collaborate, guide, and empower you to become your best writer.

My approach is collaborative and I’m here to help you write like you! I work side-by-side with students to develop a strong foundation in structure, clarity, and voice. Rather than just correcting writing, I help students understand why something works. I aim to make the writing process less intimidating and more empowering.
Each lesson is shaped by the student’s needs, but generally follows this structure:
- Goal Setting (5–10 min): We check in on the project or skill we’re working on.
- Review & Discovery (10–15 min): We look at your draft or brainstorm ideas together, identifying strengths and areas to grow.
- Strategy & Skill Focus (15–20 min): I introduce techniques or frameworks that support your writing voice.
- Collaborative Writing/Editing (15–20 min): We revise your piece together in real time.
- Wrap-Up (5 min): We recap, set goals, and I suggest next steps to keep progress going.
