About James
I originally chose Business without expecting it to become a major part of what I wanted to do later on. But as I learnt more about how businesses operate, make decisions, respond to competition and grow, my interest in the subject developed alongside my interest in Economics and finance.
That interest eventually shifted my career ambitions towards finance and led me to attend events involving organisations such as J.P. Morgan, Coutts and Fitch Ratings.
I want to teach because I know Business can sometimes feel like a lot of models, terminology and case studies thrown together. For me, it became much more interesting once I started connecting those ideas to how real businesses actually operate, and I’d like to help other students reach that same point while improving their grades.

We’ll pick a topic you want to revise, find an exam question based on it, and use that as the starting point. From there, we’ll work out what you already know, where the gaps are, and break down anything that isn’t clicking before building it back into a stronger answer.
We’ll use real-world examples, develop your chains of analysis, and then return to the original question so you can apply what we’ve covered and see exactly where your marks can improve.
I was an A-Level student only recently, so I know how annoying it is when a topic gets buried under terminology that may as well be Latin.
I’ll break things down the way I’d explain them if we were sitting down over a coffee discussing the weather, without assuming you were born with a master's degree worth of knowledge and understanding.
