About Blair
I have 13 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a PhD in Contemporary Guitar Practice. During my teaching journey, I have worked with students seeking stronger technique, greater musical flexibility, and improved performance confidence. Helping learners achieve meaningful growth remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
My teaching approach emphasizes patience, structure, and adaptability. I believe students make the best progress when lessons are tailored to their needs while maintaining clear learning objectives. Every learner receives guidance that supports long-term improvement.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy composing music, exploring advanced guitar techniques, and collaborating with musicians from different backgrounds. These experiences enrich my teaching and help me bring practical insights into lessons. I am dedicated to helping students become skilled and confident guitarists.

My guitar lessons help students build strong playing skills while developing confidence and musical creativity. We focus on rhythm precision, chord progression mastery, fretboard awareness, fingerstyle techniques, picking accuracy, improvisation skills, and expressive performance. Every lesson combines practical learning with enjoyable musical exploration.
Students participate in technical drills, song interpretation activities, ear-training exercises, creative projects, and performance preparation. I explain concepts clearly so learners can understand how different musical elements work together. Lessons are personalized to fit individual interests, goals, and experience levels.
I enjoy helping students become more confident and independent musicians. Through constructive feedback and supportive instruction, learners strengthen their technique while developing a deeper understanding of music. My goal is to make guitar learning productive, inspiring, and enjoyable.
