About Tayara
I am a piano tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching college students, dedicated to helping learners build skill, confidence, and musical understanding. My teaching approach is flexible and student-focused, ensuring lessons suit each learner’s pace and goals. I emphasize proper technique, sight-reading, rhythm, and music theory while making lessons engaging through improvisation, composition exercises, and modern music integration.
I also focus on developing performance confidence and expressive playing. My goal is to create an encouraging and motivating environment where students enjoy learning and grow into confident pianists.

My approach to teaching piano is student-centered, creative, and structured. I aim to help students enjoy learning while developing strong technical and musical skills.
Creativity is incorporated through improvisation, creative exercises, and exploring different music styles. Students are encouraged to express themselves and stay motivated during every lesson.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in simple, clear steps. Students learn to analyze their playing and improve steadily.
Accountability is emphasized through structured practice routines, goal setting, and regular progress tracking. This helps students stay disciplined, confident, and focused on their musical journey.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard basics, and basic composition to support well-rounded musical growth.
