About Kush

I’m an analytical, results-driven SAT tutor with a strong background in biomedical engineering at Duke University. My approach is grounded in understanding how the SAT is designed and teaching students how to think through questions efficiently and confidently under time pressure.

I work professionally in strategy and analytics, where clear reasoning, attention to detail, and performance under pressure are essential. I bring those same skills into my tutoring: breaking complex problems into manageable steps, identifying patterns quickly, and helping students avoid common traps that cost easy points.

I take a calm, structured, and patient approach to teaching. Students often come to me feeling overwhelmed by the SAT or frustrated by stagnant scores. My goal is to replace that frustration with clarity, confidence, and a repeatable method they can rely on test day.

Every student I work with receives a personalized plan based on their starting point, goals, and timeline. I emphasize accountability, consistency, and measurable progress, and I treat each lesson with the same professionalism and preparation I would bring to any high-stakes work environment.

If you’re looking for a tutor who is organized, thoughtful, and focused on real score improvement—not just practice for practice’s sake—I’d be glad to help.

About the lesson

My approach focuses on strategy first, content second. The SAT rewards pattern recognition, time management, and decision-making under pressure more than raw memorization. I teach students how the test is built, why wrong answers are designed the way they are, and how to eliminate them efficiently.

Key techniques I use:

1) Question-type frameworks for Reading, Writing, and Math so students recognize patterns instantly

2) Process-driven problem solving, not shortcuts that only work sometimes

3) Error analysis to identify recurring mistakes and fix them at the root

4) Time and pacing strategies tailored to each student’s strengths

5) Mental math and algebra simplification to reduce careless errors
