About Jessenia
Jessenia Vargas (Rosie Alvarez, Bye Bye Birdie; u/s The Cross and the Switchblade) is a New York–based actor, singer, dancer, and former Miss Queens USA. She has performed on some of the city’s most iconic stages, including Carnegie Hall, Apollo Theater (Amateur Night winner), and the New York Mets’ Citi Field Arena (National Anthem soloist). Other favorite credits include leading and featured roles in regional and independent productions across New York City. Her work has been praised by Broadway’s Gina Clare (Wicked), who described Jessenia as “heart-forward and emotionally accessible—a performer who leads with authenticity and truth.” Beyond the stage, Jessenia is the recipient of a New York State Proclamation and Community Award for her impact as both a performer and financial advisor. She also shares her journey as a Latina artist and entrepreneur with over 15,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Amazon.
