About Archie
Hi, I’m Archie, owner of ADiVS Tutoring with years of tutoring experience. I started ADiVS Tutoring because I know how frustrating it can be to struggle in class without the right help.
I’m not your tutor, I’m the person who finds you your tutor. I personally match each student with a tutor who fits their subject needs, learning style, and schedule. Whether you need help with math, CS, science, writing, or anything else, I’ve built a network of tutors who are smart, passionate, and easy to work with.
Working with me means no generic pairings or one-size-fits-all sessions. It’s flexible, remote, and all about what you need to thrive. I make sure your tutor’s job is to teach — and mine is to make sure you get the right one.

The problem we solve: most students study for tests by doing more questions and hoping the score moves. It usually doesn't. What moves a score is knowing exactly which question types you lose points on and drilling those specifically, while learning to manage a clock that's the real difficulty on both tests.
How we run it:
- Start with a full diagnostic to find where points are actually being lost — not a vague "math is weak," but which question types and why
- Build a study plan working backwards from the test date
- Each session: targeted instruction on the weak areas, then timed practice under real conditions
- Review every missed question, because knowing why you missed it is the part that transfers
- Track section scores over time so students and parents can see whether the plan is working
We teach test strategy alongside content: when to skip and come back, how to eliminate answer choices efficiently, how to pace each section, and how to stop one hard question from eating five minutes.
SAT and ACT coverage
SAT: Reading and Writing, both Math modules, full-length timed practice, and the digital adaptive format specifically
ACT: English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing
Choosing between the two tests based on a student's diagnostic results

Retake planning for students improving on an existing score
Test-day strategy and anxiety management
Beyond the SAT and ACT
The same approach — diagnose, drill the weak spots, practice under time — works for almost any standardized test, and we prep students for most of them. That includes PSAT/NMSQT, AP exams, STAAR and TSI, ISEE and SSAT for private school admissions, and subject-specific finals and placement exams. If your student has a test coming up that isn't on this list, ask. We can usually help or tell you honestly if we can't.
