About Charlotte
Hi there! I’m Lottie O’Rourke and I’m hoping to be your new tutor and work with you on improving your English skills. I’m in third year of secondary and English is my favorite subject in school, and I’m hoping to make it yours too. Together we would work on writing stories and learning key skills and ideas in English.

I personally believe in the power of reading, especially to expand vocabulary, so as preparation for the online lesson, I ask your child to read 15 minutes of one of the books from a list I will give them based on their level. In the first 30 minutes of the lesson, we will work on analyzing, finding different techniques and word types like nouns and verbs, and for more advanced students, we will do more in-depth analysis. For the next 30 minutes, we work on developing creative writing, and I will set a task based on the book your child picked. I have won best at English in my year of 300 people twice, have read over 100 books this year, and have had poetry published in literary magazines. My tutoring is for children aged 6 - 12.
