About Colleen
"Teaching exists because I find the technical demands of the instrument fascinating to navigate with others. My training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama informs every correction I offer.
I work with students ranging from nervous beginners to those preparing for grade exams. My approach remains consistent regardless of your starting point. I help you master shifting positions and vibrato while improving your intonation."

"The friction of bow hair against string provides clear feedback on your pressure and placement. I record playback of tricky passages for home practice to ensure you remain on track between meetings. This method creates a clear record of your shifting progress. You will work on spiccato and staccato bowing patterns.
I offer specific corrections on your double stops. My BMus background ensures we focus on high quality classical repertoire.
13 years of experience keeps my instruction simple. Progress happens slowly. We analyse your grade exam prep pieces with great care. I enjoy seeing your confidence grow."
