About Jordana

My name is Jordana, and I’m a professional vocal coach, singer, and songwriter. I’ve been a professional singer for over 20 years. And for the past 5 years, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching voice and songwriting in conjunction with my own music career. Teaching is one of my greatest passions; nothing fills my cup more than sharing the knowledge, skills, and creative discoveries I’ve gained throughout my journey and helping students unlock their full potential.

I’m also one half of the music duo Moon and Aries. Together, we were named 2023 Band of the Year by two independent global music awards. A handful of our songs have won Song of the Week or Month by various radio stations, along with being nominated for Song of the Year at several award shows. Our music has been playing on thousands of radio stations worldwide, charted in DJ pools’ Top 100, been featured on magazine covers, and surpassed 5 million streams on Spotify. We’re also signed with publishers and record labels.

Because I’m actively working in the industry, I understand what it takes to build a career in music. Whether your dream is to become a professional artist or simply to sing with more confidence at home, karaoke, or with friends, I’ll help you connect with your authentic voice and discover the joy of singing.

My background is diverse—I’ve studied under world-class vocal coaches, artists, and mentors across Canada, the USA, and Europe. I’ve performed in musical theatre productions, jazz clubs, and more. I also play guitar, ukulele, violin, and piano, which allows me to support students in songwriting and composition.

I teach all styles, from R&B, pop, and soul to jazz, musical theatre, and beyond. Every student is unique, and my passion is guiding you to transform, grow, and become the artist—or the confident singer—you’ve always wanted to be.

My Teaching Philosophy

Everyone can have the voice of their dreams. With the right use of your muscles, your ears and your will, together we can grow you into a top class singer.
My goal as a vocal coach is to help you discover more of yourself through your voice. Your voice is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression, and lessons with me will give you the tools to uncover new qualities, build confidence, and experience yourself in a whole new way.
I have the ability to hear both the strengths and the missing pieces in your voice, and together we’ll build a healthy, holistic voice. One that’s strong, expressive, and in full alignment. With my own career as a professional singer and years of experience working with students, I’ve developed a sharp ear and the skills to bring out the very best in every singer I work with.

In our lessons, we’ll explore breathwork, resonance, tone, and rang, taking your voice to places you never imagined it could go. From soaring high notes to rich lows, we’ll unlock your full potential with the right technical conditioning. And just as importantly, I’ll guide you in connecting emotionally with your sound, so your voice is not only powerful but also deeply authentic.

Together, we’ll shape a voice that is resonant, powerful, has depth, has ring, a unique tone and character. And most of all, healthy. A healthy voice that you can use forever AND be proud of it.

Deadly! She used numbers to teach me. It was on a scale from 1 to 10 where 10 is the best, and 1 is the worst. She told me that one sentence I sang was an 8, and that sometimes Taylor Swift sings at that level. I cannot think of anything better to motivate, and inspire to maybe have a career in singing. The lyrics that I made up about overcoming fear scares some people. About a month ago I was going to hire a singer. I asked four people who have singing as their career, and even though I was going to pay them $80 an hour they all said no, and they would not tell me why. Here is an example, ''Embrace fear because we can learn so much from it.'' She is an amazing teacher, so I rode my bicycle up to Black mountain to pay her $350 in cash. I had so much pain in my legs that I felt like screaming, but it didn't last long because I had some cream that took away the pain in five minutes. I bet she is a wonderful mother too because she talks about her three boys quite a bit. Very few teachers share their personal life. When you are in the service industry showing your true self is extremely important. I will take lessons from her up until I leave to go and live in Cuba. Please be kind to this lady because she is one in a million. Thank you so much for hiring her. She is generous because she only charges $35 an hour. To me giving me a low rate is like she is being humble which is a trait that almost all people love. I hope the other teachers are not jealous of her because that might cause problems to Jordana.
