Deadly! Since I’m a visiting researcher at the same university as his, we have our lessons on campus, which enables me to join his lessons and go back to my research seamlessly without moving a lot.
Alessio is a reserved, sincere student with a gentle smile but also an incredibly good tutor. Neither of us dominated the conversation but we could make interactive in a natural way; he listened well, while asking me when necessary. I used slides which I had made for the courses about intercultural communication in my home country. He read them beforehand possibly to check the topic, overall lesson flow, and think of his questions, though I told him that he did not have to do so. We asked and answered questions by relating the topic to our everyday life in the UK and and his Italian family background. We often got distracted from the topic of the day, but it was unexpectedly fun and a nice chat.
He gave me his feedback on my English about five minutes before the end of our lesson and sent the detailed report to me by email so that I could identify my area of improvement.
