About Marie

Konnichiwa^^ I was born and raised in New Zealand and moved to Japan for University after graduating High School.

I have had just over 7 years of work experience in Tokyo, so I am familiar with the Japanese culture both as a student and as a business person.

I am fluent in both English and Japanese and also have experience teaching conversational English to Japanese students for over 5 years.

My hobby is singing, dancing, playing the drums (no music no life) and I also have a dream of travelling and exploring the world.

People describe me as a kind and caring person, and I am very open minded.

Whether you are completely new to the language or wanting to practice brushing up your Japanese skills, I will support and teach you in a fun and relaxed environment.

The thing I value most about my lesson is for my students to have fun speaking the language and building up their confidence. I am patient and empathetic so please don't be afraid to make any mistakes, as that is all part of the learning process^^

My lesson style is based on daily conversation and I am flexible accommodating to each student's needs and preferences.
