About Amanda
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have foundation degrees in both Drama & English. I then went onto study my masters degree in Education, as well as completing a postgraduate diploma in acting & teaching.
I understand the trials of auditions as I first gained my equity card as a child, acting in the theatre including west end in 1981 and my first television acting was in London in 1988.
Having been a member of the LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) teaching association since 1995, I regularly train actors for their performance skills.

I have students and schools from across the midlands as well as TV personalities, business clients, from Rolls Royce and Birmingham and Derbyshire councils.

As a voice coach, actor and examiner with over 20 years teaching experience I believe that every student deserves the highest quality education with dedication to personal tuition to encourage the best results.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I both teach and examine in English and Drama. Having worked as an examiner for AQA for both the English and Drama syllabus and worked as a LAMDA examiner since 2011.
This means I can cover and have taught all speech and communication qualifications including public speaking as well as English and Drama qualifications.

GTTP Post graduate teaching qualification
ALAM Post graduate acting diploma
Trinity Cert TESOL Post graduate certificate in Teaching English as a second language
- How much do you charge?
£40 per hour
£20 per 1/2 hour lesson
£450 1/2 day group workshop (plus travel and time expenses)
£750 1 day group workshop (plus travel and time expenses)
- Where do you teach?
I teach at home but I will travel anywhere for group sessions as I will charge travel and time expenses

Available each day and evening by arrangement

GCSE, A Level, LAMDA and Trinity exams, up to diploma level in all areas of the syllabus as well as ILETS (and other TESOL) and entrance exams for university as well as drama school auditions.
