About Tina
I have a Masters and Bachelors in English (literature and composition) with undergraduate work in Education. I like to focus on creative writing and approach education in a holistic manner. I am also a published poet, and have been tutoring for the past 18 months (as of Nov. 2018)

I believe in multi-modal instruction and holistic approaches. I also apply some philosophical and rhetorical principles in my teaching. I am flexible and resourceful, and tailor my instruction for each individual student. I look at all aspects- some examples: a young student with concentration problems needed his desk lamp dimmed; an intelligent middle schooler needed to be challenged so he was given a research project to work on over several weeks; a university student needed help writing academically so I helped her better understand how to follow her professor's instructions.
