About Amy
Year 11 GCSE student offering 1-1 online tuition in Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, English, Creative Writing, and interview preparation for students preparing for 7+ and 11+ entrance exams for grammar and independent secondary schools.
I specialise in helping students develop strong exam technique, problem-solving skills, and confidence under timed conditions, with a focus on achieving top-performing outcomes in selective entrance exams.
I have received 11+ offers from Eltham College and Newstead Wood School, passed the Kent and Bexley 11+ exams, and achieved a Top 180 score in the Bexley selection test. I have also received a 16+ offer from the City of London School for Girls.
My teaching is structured, targeted, and tailored to each student’s strengths and weaknesses to maximise progress and ensure they are fully prepared for their target schools.

I help students prepare for 7+ and 11+ entrance exams by breaking down exam questions and past papers using efficient methods I developed through my own entrance exam experience. My focus is on building strong understanding, improving exam technique, and helping students approach questions with confidence rather than memorisation.
For students applying to independent schools, I also provide tailored interview preparation, helping them practise clear, structured answers and feel confident in formal interview settings.
I also create personalised study plans for each student based on their strengths, weaknesses, and target schools to ensure steady progress and focused preparation.
My sessions are calm, supportive, and adapted to each child’s pace of learning.
Lessons will take place on Microsoft Teams, although I also offer a small number of in-person lessons for students who find in-person lessons more engaging than virtual lessons.
