About Patrick
I am a fully qualified architect with over 15 years of experience, currently working at Populous, the world’s leading sports and entertainment architecture practice. My work spans a range of projects and scales, giving me a strong understanding of both conceptual design and technical delivery.
Alongside practice, I teach as a design studio leader on the BSc Architecture course at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, widely regarded as one of the leading architecture schools in the world. My academic work has been recognised with the Shoaib Rawat Prize during my Master’s, and I have also won international architecture competitions and written for the Architects' Journal.
I am committed, reliable and highly invested in my students’ progress. I understand how demanding architectural education can be and aim to provide clear, constructive guidance that builds confidence as well as skill. My approach is supportive but direct, helping students to produce thoughtful, well-structured and ambitious work.

My teaching focuses on demystifying architecture through clear, direct language and a structured design method. I break the process into manageable stages such as research, concept formation, testing and refinement so students understand not just what to do but how and why.
Lessons typically run for 60 to 90 minutes and are practical and focused. We work through your projects together, establishing a clear framework, strengthening ideas and developing precise drawings and portfolios.
Alongside 15 years in leading international practices, I lead a design studio at The Bartlett School of Architecture, giving me insight into both academic expectations and professional standards.
Lessons are suited to A Level, foundation and undergraduate students, as well as applicants preparing portfolios for top architecture schools.
