About Alexa

Technical drafting, concept development, and 3D modeling are central to my approach as an architect with an M.Arch from Dublin City University. With 4 years of professional experience, I help students strengthen their design thinking through focused critiques, site analysis, and practical problem-solving. Sustainable design and thoughtful spatial planning remain key considerations, ensuring every concept is both creative and realistic.

I also guide students through portfolio development and architectural history, helping them understand the context behind their design decisions. Together, we refine structural logic, improve presentation quality, and develop a stronger architectural narrative. My goal is to make complex concepts easier to understand while providing clear, constructive guidance throughout each stage of the learning process.

What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing students transform raw ideas and complex site information into purposeful architectural solutions. Through personalized feedback and hands-on practice, I encourage students to build confidence in their creative and technical abilities. Each session is designed to help you develop a clear design process and create work that feels functional, thoughtful, and professionally presented.

About the lesson

A diagnostic portfolio review begins our first session, helping us identify your current strengths, technical gaps, and creative goals. Across 8 focused sessions, we work on a practical, fabrication-ready architectural model instead of relying on abstract exercises, giving you hands-on experience with realistic design challenges.

Turning your ideas into practical architectural solutions takes patience and precision. We move through each technical challenge at a comfortable, structured pace, strengthening your drafting, modelling, and design skills along the way. As your project develops, we refine the details and prepare your work for professional-quality rendering and presentation.

By integrating these tools into your everyday workflow, you can present your concepts with greater clarity and confidence. We emphasize accurate documentation, thoughtful detailing, and polished visual communication so your final submission reflects strong design thinking. The goal is a fully furnished and professionally rendered space that showcases your creativity, technical ability, and architectural competence.
