About Jiya

My passion for Architecture began with a fascination for built environments, spatial relationships, and the impact of design on human experience. I earned a B.Arch in Architectural Design and an M.Arch in Urban Planning, combining technical skills with creative insight. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students from foundational sketching to complex project design, helping them build confidence, creativity, and technical competence. I teach with patience, structure, and encouragement, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. Beginners receive foundational guidance, intermediate learners develop technical precision, and advanced students refine conceptual thinking and portfolio presentation. I encourage exploration, independent thinking, and problem-solving, fostering a nurturing and inspiring learning environment. Beyond teaching, I engage in research, sketching, and sustainable design projects, bringing contemporary insights to students. Watching learners develop confidence, creativity, and strong design thinking is profoundly rewarding. My goal is to inspire students to transform ideas into meaningful, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

About the lesson

Architecture becomes inspiring when learners understand how creativity, spatial awareness, and technical knowledge combine to create functional, beautiful spaces. My lessons introduce design principles, visual composition, material selection, and conceptual development. Beginners focus on basic sketching, proportion, and observation skills. Intermediate learners explore model-making, technical drawings, and spatial planning, refining precision and visualization. Advanced students develop comprehensive project concepts, sustainable design strategies, and portfolio presentation skills. Each session emphasizes structured guidance, creative exploration, and clarity of thought in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Lesson pacing is tailored to student ability. Beginners receive step-by-step guidance, visual aids, and hands-on exercises to strengthen foundational skills. Intermediate learners focus on refining technical drawings, spatial reasoning, and design techniques. Advanced students tackle complex conceptual problems, develop sustainability solutions, and polish portfolio presentation. Each lesson integrates discussion, critique, and constructive feedback to help students grow creatively, analytically, and confidently.

Architecture lessons cultivate creative, analytical, and expressive skills.
