Deadly! IK (Nwafor) is honestly the best chemistry tutor I’ve ever had. From the very first session, he made me feel comfortable, supported, and never judged — which is so rare, especially when you're struggling with something as tough as chemistry.

He’s incredibly kind and patient, and he always matched my pace. I never felt rushed or afraid to ask questions. In fact, it felt more like I was learning with a really smart friend who actually cared about me getting it.

One of the things I appreciate most is how he breaks down complicated concepts — like stoichiometry, balancing chemical equations, and molar conversions — in ways that actually make sense. He doesn’t just explain things once and expect you to get it right away. I would ask the same questions over and over again, and not once did he get frustrated or impatient. All he cared about was making sure I truly understood the material, and that kind of dedication really meant a lot to me.

He has a way of simplifying things without making you feel like you're being talked down to. Instead, you feel like you're being built up. When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I developed an interest in Chemistry right from my high school days. My chemistry teacher was a lovable person and was very professional. With his method of communication, I learnt that interest in a subject can be developed. This is what I aim to do with helping students in Chemistry. It means that guidance can make or break a student's interest in any field. Do you agree?
What makes you passionate about your subject?
Seeing students become a better version of themselves, especially in Chemistry. Lots of students struggle, but I'm usually satisfied when I see that a student who was a novice then but is now doing very well after I help them.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
The satisfaction that comes when you've imparted knowledge; one that a student can run with for the rest of their lives. Building confidence in students and providing mentorship is something I can do even for free because I love it!
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
Mr Alex, my Chemistry teacher, inspired me. He made chemistry an exciting subject for me and now, when I see students struggling with Chemistry, it's a motivation to help them out, and I'm glad I'm always able to do so effectively and cause a significant change for the better.
What are your keys to success?
One big key is consistency! In anything you're doing. If you're consistent, you'll find that situations will align to your favour and you'll succeed.
