About Janavi
I am an art museum educator by trade and studied art history at the University of Michigan. I have guided and tutored children, teens, college students, and adults in art history and art appreciation. I have experience working with modern and contemporary art as well art and art objects of the ancient world.

My teaching method is always to begin where the student is. If they are studying a particular period or topic of art history, we begin with discussing what they struggle with skill-wise. We then work on looking and observing the art and finding ways to make it relevant and interesting to them. Then, I engage with the students by bringing in digestible historical context for the artworks as well as enjoyable short activities to keep them engaged and help them remember what they need to.
