About Gabriella

Hi, I’m Gabriella, a passionate historian and educator with a background in Art History and Cultural Programming. Originally from Colombia, I’ve always been fascinated by the stories that shape our world and how history connects people, places, and cultures. As someone who believes that history is best learned through storytelling, I aim to make every lesson engaging, relatable, and fun. My goal is to inspire curiosity and help students see history as more than just facts—it’s a way to understand the world and ourselves. I love teaching because it allows me to share my enthusiasm for history while empowering others to achieve their goals, whether that’s acing exams, improving essay skills, or simply enjoying a lively discussion about the past. Let’s dive into the stories of history together—I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way!

About the lesson

History isn’t just about dates and facts—it’s a collection of fascinating stories waiting to be told! I approach teaching history like storytelling or even a lively gossip session, making events, characters, and contexts come alive. My goal is to make history relatable, engaging, and fun, helping students connect with the past in ways that resonate today. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, allowing time to dive deep into key topics while keeping things dynamic and enjoyable. I use a mix of primary sources, multimedia, and creative activities to bring history to life. I'm currently a MA student in Fashion Curation and Cultural Programming at London College of Fashion. My BA was in Art History with a Business minor in Cultural Management. I've worked as a tutor and teaching assistant for ages!! And worked as a primary school teacher as well. I'm also an experienced researcher and mentor, with a passion for making history accessible and exciting for all learners. Students of all levels and ages, from schoolchildren to adults. Those preparing for exams, improving essay-writing skills, or exploring history as a passion. Anyone curious about art history, cultural history, or unique perspectives on historical events. Together, we’ll uncover the drama, intrigue, and humanity in history. Whether you’re looking to ace an exam or simply love a good story, I’m here to help you dive into the past with enthusiasm and curiosity.
