About Ella
My name is Ella and I am a BA Art History and History graduate. With previous A-Level qualifications in History, Politics and Religious Studies, I have a strong working proficiency in gaining A*/A in A-Level revision practice, and 7-9s at GCSE revision.
I have previously supported GCSE Religious Studies students in Year 10 mock exams, focusing on active recall of knowledge, and the application of knowledge in exam conditions.
Previous experience in an all-girls' grammar school has developed my teaching methods to support high-achieving students reach the upper bands of the GCSE grading system.
My university degree has also helped me to support A-Level students in seeking out what works well for university applications and personal statements, both in Russell Group and non-Russell Group applications.
I value the development of active recall techniques, planning techniques, and supporting the development of individual revision techniques in the tutorial sessions.

- I tailor my tutoring sessions to the student's preferred learning methods.
- I look first at getting an overview of the key areas of learning the student struggles with most, and combine this with a range of learning techniques to best provide a structure to the student's learning, both during our sessions and in any individual revision done outside of our lessons.
- Guided by the syllabus used (e.g. AQA History GCSE, EDEXCEL Politics A-Level)
