About Shaked

I teach High school and VCE Art subjects and have Art Teaching and Tutoring experience in practice, history and theory. I have three years of professional tutoring and classroom educating for kindergarten, primary and secondary school students. My experience with neurodivergent students has taught me to work with patience, critical thinking and passion. I aim to support students with confidence, guiding them to think independently, and communicate their ideas/media coherently. I am passionate about all things art. I am a painter, printmaker, videographer, photographer and much more, with a key interest in where art lies in social, philosophical and historical contexts. I love to teach and learn, and will always have the student's best interest and success at heart and in action.

About the lesson

My Classes: I teach Primary, High school and VCE art subjects including Studio Art/ Creative Practices, and have Art Teaching and Tutoring experience in practice, history and theory. My classes are structured, and I will create a plan with the student to outline their strengths, weaknesses and aims. For VCE and non-VCE students, I focus on art through technique and self-expression. Lesson Length: 1.5 hours Education: Monash Bachelor of Fine Art, Monash University Practitioners Course of Art Therapy, Health and Harmony Colleges Fine Art Exchange Study in Italy VCE Studio Art Honor Roll/ Top Class Student. Recent awards: Art Scholarship for Monash University Tess Hill and Bill Hawtin Fine Art Scholarship

My first session is to get to know the student, touch on their experience and allow you to ask any questions to get to know me and the work I’ve done or classes I’ve run. It serves as a great opportunity to discuss anything additional/ unclear, and to inform me of anything specific from the outset such as working environments to best suit the student's needs and materials. Then we schedule the first class! *Each class will be 1.5 hrs (90 mins) unless longer is requested before the lesson Please note cancellation must be 48 hours prior, if not, full payment.
