About Cora
Thirteen years ago, I began teaching piano to share the discipline required for true technical control. Do you find that music theory or rhythm and timing are the biggest hurdles in your practice? I have spent 13 years guiding students from nervous beginners to exam candidates, incorporating jazz improvisation and pop and contemporary styles.
My studio focus remains on posture and hand position, dynamics and expression, and essential memorization techniques. Ear training is also a major component of how I help musicians refine their internal hearing. I have worked with a vast number of pupils over these 13 years, ensuring each one masters the fundamentals before moving forward. Outside of the bench, I maintain my own rigor through personal study, which keeps my perspective sharp.

Clarity in playing is the primary outcome we reach after thorough diagnostic assessments. Are you ready to see exactly where your current technical plan is failing you?
We begin by identifying your gaps in music theory or rhythm and timing before creating a rigorous path forward. I utilize my background in dynamics and expression to refine your memorisation techniques.
We will spend time on ear training and posture to ensure every performance is precise. Pop and contemporary pieces provide a break from rigid classical studies.
Your hand position must be correct at all times. Jazz improvisation is often integrated to expand your creative vocabulary. I expect you to arrive prepared and ready to work hard. Keep practicing until our next session.
