About Mia
I am exceptionally passionate about the topics I teach! I have hundreds of hours of private tutoring experience with a large range of children and young adults, I am sure we will get off to a flying start! I also have experience as a tutor manager and have managed a tutoring buisiness for over a year. Now I am returning to my true passion of teaching! The topics I cover are pivotal to both the curriculum and modern living and are all areas I have a genuine interest in. In my sessions I hope to inspire a passion for the topic but also develop a love of learning, learning techniques and a curious mindset. Let’s go!

I am really pleased with the way my daughter's sessions are going with Mia. Mia is kind, supportive, enthusiastic and creative. She easily created a connection with my daughter who can be shy, anxious and has ASC. She is really enjoying her lessons with Mia and it is great to see and great for her confidence. Mia is also great at communicating with me which is reassuring. I would definitely recommend Mia.

Outstanding tutor! Mia is by far the best online tutor we have ever had for our kids. We asked her to plan a couple of weeks of primary catch up for our children in year 1 and 4 who have missed a fair bit of school. She has come up with an amazing programme of classes that incorporates all areas of the curriculum under an overarching fun and topical theme based on their interests. The children (age 6 and 8) can’t wait for their lessons with Mia. She teaches in a way that is so fun and creative that they don’t even realise they are learning. She brings so much energy to the class and pitches the work so that it is appropriately challenging to their age and ability. Her skill as a tutor is proven by the fact that she keeps them engaged with online learning for 2 hours at a time and they don’t want the lessons to end. Absolutely fantastic tutor who I can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Mia!

First sessions would include my getting to know your child. I am interested in teaching them in a way that suits their learning style and discover what needs to be covered. I can help with exam prep, homework, organisation and more. I will use multiple teaching tools such as YouTube, websites, learning apps and online resources available, if these suit your parenting style. I may send drawings, exercises or documents I have created to work through with them. We would end in a summary of what we have learnt and I would recommend they make some kind of note or diagram of what we covered in the session.
