About Ankush

Hello, I am Ankush Pandey. I am an IBM Certified Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer with over six years of hands-on industry experience. I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of data professionals and have successfully guided over 200 students in mastering machine learning and elevating their tech careers.

Throughout my career, I have actively contributed to the field with multiple published research papers and patents. My daily work revolves around solving complex, real-world business problems through data analysis, predictive modeling, and robust machine learning pipelines.

About the lesson

Welcome to a comprehensive, hands-on journey into Machine Learning. This class is designed to take you beyond the theory and teach you exactly how predictive modeling works in the real world. Whether you are transitioning into data science or looking to strengthen your foundational skills, this course will equip you with the tools you need to succeed as a highly capable Machine Learning Engineer.

We will start by building a rock-solid technical foundation. You will master the essential programming skills required for data science, including Python, Object-Oriented Programming, and SQL. We will dive deep into data manipulation and exploratory data analysis using Pandas, teaching you how to clean, process, and extract valuable insights from messy, real-world datasets.

Once your foundation is set, we will explore the core classical machine learning models that power today's data-driven industries. You will gain practical, hands-on experience with supervised learning algorithms like Linear and Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, and Decision Trees. We will also master powerful ensemble methods such as Random Forests, XGBoost, and LightGBM, alongside essential unsupervised learning techniques like K-Means Clustering and Principal Component Analysis for dimensionality reduction.

However, training a highly accurate model in a Jupyter Notebook is only the first step. A major focus of this class is teaching you the engineering side of machine learning. You will learn how to evaluate your models rigorously to prevent overfitting, and most importantly, how to deploy them. We will cover MLOps best practices, showing you how to package your models using Docker and deploy them as scalable web APIs using FastAPI and AWS.

This class is highly interactive and strictly project-based. There is no one-size-fits-all curriculum; we will adapt the pace and projects to your specific learning style. By the end of our sessions, you will not just understand the math behind the algorithms; you will have a portfolio of end-to-end machine learning projects that demonstrate your ability to take a business problem from raw data all the way to a live, deployed application.

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
The main subjects I teach are Data Science and Machine Learning but apart from them I also teach Python and SQL, because when we go for the data analysis the first required step comes to be data gathering and the language used for that and most of the time we use Python for that.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I love doing Machine Learning Projects and transferring my knowledge to others. Actually, my perspective about teaching says that it is a way to update and increase your knowledge. So, I chose to teach people these technologies.
How does your work help society?
I think that to live a prosperous life we don't only need to be educated but also need to live among educated people. That is why I believe in educating others for the good of society and myself simultaneously.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
If I happen to think about a role model for my work, the first person which comes to my mind is my professor at my graduation named Prince Rajput, actually, all of my methodologies are actually inspired by him. According to him the best way to induce a will of learning in someone is to learn with them. Once he said to me that I should share all the knowledge I have, it will update my learning too.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I have a childhood fantasy to build an AI just like J.A.R.V.I.S. from Iron-man, and that is why my best hobby apart from teaching is making automated devices. I also do sketching and love to do long drives by bicycle.
