About Heather

I’ve been where you are and still I am learning every day. I am a senior leader at a large financial services company with over 30 years experience in hiring, developing and retaining top talent. I do this every day and want to share my knowledge with you to help you put your best foot forward.

About the lesson

You already wake up every day wanting to be your best and put your unique talents and gifts out there to prospective employers. Sometimes it only takes a few quick tips and practice to make a difference and set you apart from others. In just a few sessions I can help you with ideas for showcasing your story (who you are ), practice for situational interview questions, and being able to share a plan once you land the role.

Once upon a time I was in your shoes, navigating the world of interviews and trying to stand out from the crowd. There is a way to do this and still be yourself, I love helping young people or even those getting back into the workforce present the best version of themselves.

We know that a few things have changed in the last several years, many interviews that used to be in person are now remote and remote interviews are a unique opportunity, we are in a challenging time in our job market with the pace and competing nature of companies looking for talent , which can be a good thing or not depending on how you look at it; and finally, social media and the way we communicate has put less of a focus on developing interpersonal skills so it’s good to be reminded that these skills are still critical. You won’t get a fancy presentation from me with slides and documents, what you will get is real down to earth conversation, advice and practice.
