About Emily
I have over twenty years of experience as an avid reader and writer. As a freshman in high school I tested at a college level in English/Literature/Language Arts. Over the past ten years I have written five books, four of which are published, as well as tutored students in both a local homeschool co-op and public school. Currently, I am completing my degree in English and Writing with Liberty University. I am a junior and I expect to graduate in either the summer or fall of 2026. I have also been the director of a creative writing club this current school year (2024-2025) at a local homeschool co-op and my students just published their own book.

I believe in a fun and creative approach when teaching grammar, reading comprehension, analyzing literature, and writing. I am patient and I understand that reading and writing does not come easily for everyone, therefore, I do my best to find content students can relate to. I believe if a student can relate to the material he/she is reading, it is easier to understand and analyze. My lessons are for middle, high school, and/or college students.
