About Ellen
I have been playing piano since the age of 4, and love sharing my passion for music with others! I have over 8 years' experience teaching piano and music theory. My days involve working as a recruiter within the performing arts industry, so I am always surrounded by music.

I am happy to tutor for standards ranging from complete beginner, including teaching students how to read music, up to and including Grade 5. I have experience teaching both children and adults.
I am an avid musician, with grade 8 in clarinet, piano, organ and oboe, and an A* at music A level.
I have a particular love of music theory, and I am happy to tutor this on its own, or combine music theory tutoring with practical instrument tutoring. I really believe that learning music theory alongside your practical tuition makes a big difference to your musicianship!
I also offer tutoring to help you prepare for aural tests as part of your instrumental grade exams. Again I can offer this both alongside instrument tutoring and on its own.
I will tailor all lessons to the individual needs of the pupil, and will aim to make the tutoring sessions fun and enjoyable as I believe this is the best way to learn.
I am happy to offer 30 minute lessons, 45 minute lessons or 1 hour lessons depending on what you're looking for.
