Hi, my name is Anastasiya and I have been studying with Ceylan for nearly 2 years. Whilst studying with her, I took my grade 4 and 5 flute exam and got a merit in both. During this time, my playing improved greatly. She is an excellent teacher who nurtures her students passion for music, while giving positive feedback and ways her students could improve.

My 11 year old son has been having clarinet lessons with Ceylan since he was 6. Ceylan is trustworthy, kind and very knowledgeable. She is patient and understands how children learn. We are glad to have found her as a music teacher for my son and highly recommend.

Ceylan has been tutoring our son for the past five years, initially on the Descant Recorder and more recently the Clarinet. He completed the highest grading on the recorder and is currently working toward grade 7 on the clarinet. Ceylan is extremely friendly and patient, and our son finds the sessions enjoyable. She helped him to succeed (usually with a distinction) in every ABRSM exam he has taken. She also has prepared him for school competitions, where he has achieved a number of successes including winning his instrument category and coming in runner up overall in young musician of the year competitions at his junior school.

During lockdown Ceylan continued the tutoring via Zoom videoconference. This proved to be as valuable as face to face tutoring at a particularly stressful time. Hopefully lockdowns are a thing of the past but it is comforting to know the sessions can continue uninterrupted should the need arise again in the future.

We can’t praise Ceylan sufficiently in a brief review. She is approachable, friendly and always well prepared, as well as being an accomplished musician herself.
