About Elizabeth
I am a First-Class Criminology graduate and recipient of the Best Dissertation 2025 award. My dissertation focused on domestic abuse in LGBTQ+ contexts and involved qualitative research and thematic analysis, giving me strong experience in designing research projects, analysing data, and producing high-quality academic writing.
Alongside my studies, I have experience supporting university students with dissertation planning, structure, and written work. I understand how challenging the dissertation process can feel, particularly when developing a research question, structuring a literature review, or analysing findings. My aim is to help students approach their projects with greater clarity, confidence, and organisation.
I take a professional and supportive approach to tutoring. I guide students through the research and writing process while ensuring that all work remains their own and that they develop the skills needed to complete their dissertation independently. My focus is on helping students strengthen their critical thinking, academic writing, and research design so they can produce a clear, well-structured dissertation and achieve the best possible result.

Feeling overwhelmed by your dissertation?
Whether you're struggling to narrow down a research question, structure a literature review, choose a methodology, or analyse your findings, I offer one-to-one dissertation support designed to help you approach your project with greater clarity and confidence.
I am a First-Class Criminology graduate and recipient of the Best Dissertation 2025 award. My dissertation involved qualitative research and reflexive thematic analysis, giving me strong experience in research design, critical analysis, academic writing, and dissertation structure.
My dissertation support sessions are designed to guide students through each stage of the research and writing process in a clear, structured, and supportive way. I focus on helping students develop strong academic arguments, clear research design, and well-structured writing while ensuring their work remains entirely their own.
Sessions are tailored to the stage of the dissertation the student is currently working on. This may include support with developing a research question, structuring a literature review, designing methodology, analysing findings, or improving clarity and academic style in written work. I also help students strengthen their critical analysis, ensure their arguments flow logically, and prepare for supervisor meetings.
My teaching approach is collaborative and practical. During sessions we may:
- break down dissertation requirements and marking criteria
- refine research questions and dissertation structure
- review drafts and provide detailed feedback
- strengthen critical evaluation and academic argument
- work through methodology choices and data analysis approaches
- improve clarity, referencing, and academic writing style
Sessions typically last 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if needed, particularly during key stages such as methodology design or final editing.
These lessons are suitable for undergraduate students studying criminology, sociology, psychology, or related social science subjects who would like structured guidance throughout the dissertation process, whether they are just beginning their research or preparing their final draft.
