About Mahdi
I am a first-class standing and award-winning PhD graduate and practicing engineer in structural and earthquake engineering from the University of Alberta with a solid background in math and engineering mechanics.
I have years of teaching assistantship and tutoring experience in various civil/structural engineering courses. During this time, I have worked with undergraduate and graduate students, helping them achieve their academic goals and excel in their exams.

During my years of teaching assistantship and tutoring, I have tried my best to provide the students with a positive experience of teaching and learning. My teaching style differs from one person to another. As a first step, I assess the student's depth of knowledge. Based on my assessment, I review the topics, explain the underlying concepts in detail patiently and solve sample problems to make sure the student has understood the subject comprehensively. I won’t move on to the next subject until I am fully confident that the student has digested the topic.
