About Ramya
I am a writer with over a decade of experience in teaching and performing. I received my master's in creative writing from The New School and my bachelor's in English from St. John's University. I love being able to equip and help a student grow from process to progress! It is my heart to create a safe, empathetic learning environment while also empowering the student with the right tools to take off and FLY!

As an award-winning poet, I take pride in language and agency. I think when a person feels genuinely connected to a language, they grow in confidence and can make wiser and bolder decisions writing. I have taught every age from elementary, to middle school, high school, college and adults as well.
