About Ellie
I am currently a student at the University of Melbourne but am from Tasmania. I have done up to Grade 6 AMEB Examinations including a UTAS Foundation course in music. I have been playing the flute for over 6 years, playing in concert bands and as a soloist. I enjoy learning music theory and am able to teach theory to a high school standard.

When approaching a new student, I consider their experience and gain a sense of the standard they have already developed. This allows me to gauge what level to start at, and what particular aspects need improvement. Some of these aspects include breath support, intonation, tone, rhythm, tonguing, learning new notes etc.
