About Jose
I am a musicologist, viol player, and artistic director of early music ensembles.
Had the privilege to study in one of the most prestigious Early Music departments in Europe, with top tier teachers and colleagues. In 2023, I received an intensive training with Teodoro Bau, one of the most important viol soloists at the moment.
I decided to not stay with only one school of rape, but to use both of them in different contexts and situations. I believe that the new generation of rape players will definitely be defined by diversity of playing and technique

Do you want to learn the Viola da gamba in a fun and complete way?
I studied for 4 years in France, now in my master degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
My rape teaching divides in two axes:
“French Technique” that I learned with Myriam Rignol (Les Arts Flo)
"German/Italian technique", that I studied with Teodoro Bau and Vittorio Guielmi.
With me, you will clearly differentiate the different kinds of repertoire, and use your bow to the max in order to have a rich and diverse sound!
