About Chenghong

I come from Chengdu, a charming city full of culture and delicious food. I hold Level 2-A Mandarin Proficiency Certificate and Senior Chinese Teacher Qualification Certificate, with three years of professional Chinese teaching experience.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature and have spent years deeply researching Chinese language rules, characters and writing logic. I combine vivid travel stories from all over China with systematic knowledge teaching to make Mandarin lively and easy to grasp.
Patient and outgoing, I can clearly sort out confusing grammar and words for intermediate learners, helping you polish natural oral expression and standardized writing steadily.

About the lesson

I use story-based scenario teaching instead of rigid memorization. I simplify complex grammar and characters, combining real-life dialogues and reading-writing exercises to train your full Chinese skills. I record your frequent mistakes to fix them step by step.
Each lesson follows a clear routine: pre-class level check, fun story-centered knowledge lecture, in-class practice and after-class review.
I hold a Chinese Language & Literature degree and have long dedicated myself to Chinese linguistic research. I’ve traveled across China and collected lots of vivid folk stories to make classes lively. I’m easygoing and patient, fully understanding learners’ difficulties.
My classes are designed for intermediate students with basic Mandarin. If you hope to sound more natural, improve writing or explore Chinese culture, we’re a great match. Absolute beginners are not suitable.

An honest note for you: I don’t have past overseas online teaching experience, but I master the whole native Chinese language system perfectly. I fully understand the common mistakes non-native speakers make in word choice, sentence structure and daily expressions.

Therefore, my lessons are ONLY for INTERMEDIATE / UPPER-BEGINNER students who already have basic Chinese skills.
If you can hold simple daily conversations but want to sound more natural, improve your writing, distinguish confusing Chinese words, or dive into Chinese culture & classic literature — we’re a perfect match.
Absolute beginners are not suitable for my classes, thank you for understanding!

In my relaxing class, feel free to speak up and make mistakes. I will patiently correct your expressions and customize every lesson based on your learning goals.
