About Stephanie
Hello!
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in African-American Studies. I am extremely passionate about literature and can’t wait to share my live for reading and writing with my future scholars. I have been teaching high school level English courses for the past two years and loved the experience. I have worked in many settings, such as small group, whole group, and one on one. I am committed to growing in my craft and also helping others expand their knowledge of literature and writing skills.

Teaching Literature and Compostion as complimentary subjects has been extremely successful for my students. Reading and writing go hand in hand and it is important that we use them both as practice to propel our skills forward. I focus on analyzing literary devices in texts and identifying how they may add to the over meaning or message. While also exposing students to different text types so they are familiar with and can write any genre. I teach for college and career readiness, it is important for students to have an authentic choice in their future and I believe providing a solid foundation in both literacy and writing are essential for future success in any field.
