About NURUL

My main aim as a Bahasa Melayu tutor is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to help them develop a genuine interest and confidence in learning the language. I believe that every student has a different way of learning, and that lessons should be adapted to their individual needs, abilities, and learning pace.

During my lessons, I aim to create a fun, comfortable, and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to participate, ask questions, and learn without being afraid of making mistakes. I use simple explanations, interactive activities, worksheets, and exercises to make each lesson easier to understand and more enjoyable.

I also focus on strengthening students’ essential Bahasa Melayu skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, comprehension, and writing. Rather than encouraging students to simply memorize answers, I want them to understand the concepts and know how to apply what they have learned.

Most importantly, I want my students to leave every class feeling that they have learned something new and are capable of improving. My goal is to make Bahasa Melayu a subject that students can understand, enjoy, and feel confident in.

My Tutoring Approach & Teaching Methodology
Hi! I'm Nurul Syazanna, a 19-year-old Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) student with a passion for teaching Bahasa Melayu.
My Teaching Techniques & Methodology
I believe learning should be fun, interactive, and stress-free. My teaching approach focuses on making Bahasa Melayu easy to understand through simple explanations, engaging activities, worksheets, exercises, and real-life examples. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace in a comfortable and supportive environment.
I also adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's learning style, strengths, and weaknesses. My goal is not just to help students improve their academic performance, but also to build their confidence and interest in Bahasa Melayu.
Typical Lesson Length
My typical lesson lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student's age, attention span, learning needs, and the topics covered. I include interactive activities and practice exercises to keep students focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
My Qualifications & Experience
I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). Although my main field of study is English, I have a strong passion for teaching Bahasa Melayu and hands-on tutoring experience with students from Year 1, Year 3, and Year 6.
Through my experience, I have learned the importance of patience, clear explanations, and adapting lessons to help students understand difficult topics.
Who Are My Lessons For?
My Bahasa Melayu lessons are suitable for primary school students, especially those in Year 1 to Year 6. Whether your child is a beginner, needs extra guidance with schoolwork, or wants to strengthen their existing skills, I aim to provide lessons that match their level and learning needs.
I can help students improve their:
Grammar: Understanding sentence structure and basic language rules.
Writing: Developing sentences, paragraphs, and better writing skills.
Comprehension: Improving reading, understanding, and answering questions.
Confidence: Encouraging students to participate, practise, and enjoy learning Bahasa Melayu.
My goal is to make every lesson meaningful, enjoyable, and effective, so students can learn with confidence and see their own progress.
