About Emily
I am a mother of 5 children; 3 of whom have graduated from Cambridge, Bristol and Edinburgh respectively with excellent degrees and are now in full time work. My younger 2 are currently studying for GCSE's and A levels. I come from an academic background (my father taught at Cambridge University) and I have a Masters degree in Art History from St Andrews University.
I work part-time for the University here in Cambridge and have enjoyed tutoring my children through their various public exams; helping them to achieve the best results of which they were capable.
I am a freelance writer, have contributed to the Independent and edited copy for the Telegraph. I love writing and helping people to express themselves clearly and coherently.
I am looking for online work (Skype, Zoom) tutoring any pupil who needs extra help, for whom English may not be their first language and who might enjoy an alternative slant on their subject to bring out their own flare.

Emily has done writing work for me several times and I have always been pleased with the results. She is articulate, creative and thorough. She is well read and has an excellent memory for verse and quotations I have no doubt that she would make an excellent English Tutor.
Emily tutored me before my GCSE mock for English. She had a lot of knowledge which wasn't specified in the course but allowed me to gain a higher understanding of the topics and a greater results in essays. She also helped me to express myself clearly and confidently in my written work, and gave me ideas for my coursework essay. I went from a predicted 6 to a 9.
