I have many years experience of teaching. I have a good BSC (Hons) degree in Applied Psychology & Computing. The Degree course included natural language processing, semantics, and Discourse analysis. I have been training basic digital skills in rural/remote communities for the past 5 years but have experience of teaching; ESOL, primary students basic literacy, Adults/senior citizens how to get online. I believe making sessions, relevant, dynamic and enjoyable is key to ensuring lessons are understood and the information is retained. Relaxed students are more likely to remember a lesson that made them smile. An 'open' approach to teaching which allows students to contribute and feel engaged is really important for me. Everyone needs to be listened to and I think asking questions is a really important part of learning, so I ensure we have a learning opportunities that encourages enquiry.
