About Dilan
I’m a London-based Acoustical Engineer and lifelong bass guitarist. I began playing at a young age and was fortunate to have many opportunities growing up, performing in several bands across different styles. For several years I played in both a Big Band and a Jazz Band, with gigs at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz After Dark in Soho. I’ve also played in rock, funk, soul and R&B groups, giving me a broad musical foundation.
I hold a Grade 8 Bass Guitar qualification (Rockschool) and bring a clear, supportive approach to teaching beginners and improvers.
Alongside music, I’m trained in the Feldenkrais Method — a form of somatic movement education that cultivates bodily awareness and ease. This informs my teaching style: I help students play with comfort, confidence and relaxed technique, so learning feels enjoyable rather than tense or overwhelming.

My lessons combine technique, rhythm, theory, and repertoire in a way that feels structured but never overwhelming.
