About Whyatt
I started playing trombone in middle school making my way to the top of my section each year. I achieved many feats including all district band many years and all state for one year. I excel in jazz earning awards for my improvisation at jazz festivals. I also form and lead bands to play jazz for many.

-To help new musicians I will help them learn the basics of the trombone teaching proper articulation, embouchure, and holding of the instrument as well as tuning the instrument, playing basic notes, and rhythms, as well as standard scales and exercises.
-I will use many jazz standards that come from the 6th edition real book to help familiarize students with many core jazz songs as well as help teach improvisation with backing tracks.
-I specifically look forward to teaching newer students to get them into music as well as young trombonists to adventure out below the staff and into a well reliable back bone for any band.
