About Gianmarco
Musical disciplines are fascinating because they intertwine different aspects which, in the musical act, acquire a total reason for being that goes beyond the sum of its parts. For this reason I have decided, in my life, to follow a very long and varied path of musical studies, from the instrument - the bassoon - to the study of composition and electronic music.
At the moment I combine my concert activity, in orchestras and chamber music ensembles, both classical and experimental, with my teaching activity in various schools: at the moment I teach piano for beginners, bassoon, solfeggio and history of music with particular attention to Twentieth century. My skills, however, allow me to also teach music informatics, the basics of music production and sound design.
I want to make my knowledge available to as many people as possible because I am convinced that the study of musical disciplines is one of the richest activities from a human point of view and opens up infinite possibilities of expression to everyone. It is a universal form of communication that gives anyone the opportunity to express their personality in a natural and total way.

The lessons, based on the discipline required, are aimed at instrument students who need to strengthen their theoretical side, at those who want to delve deeper into complementary subjects such as history of music, at those who want to try their hand at musical production/musical informatics or also learn sound design rudiments from scratch.
The lessons, whether online or in person, will be structured ad hoc based on the needs and level of the student. Since these are musical disciplines, even the lessons of a theoretical nature provide practical activities so that theory can be readily applied.
The solfeggio lessons will be aimed at improving the theoretical knowledge of music and their application or at eliminating gaps that impede the student's progress, be it reading, listening, rhythm, theoretical notions. This happens through exercises and analysis of scores.
The history of music lessons consist of discussions and insights into the historical periods of greatest interest in musical development, following the certification program of Italian conservatories. The discussions will be accompanied by listening to the most significant repertoires.
The musical IT and sound design lessons take place directly on the PC and translate into practical exercises on how to use the computer and mostly free programs for producing music. These lessons also include basic elements of accelerated music theory, especially for beginning students.
