About Alex

My name is Alex, I am 23 years old and an aspiring Journalist. I manage and coach a sports team whilst also working in radio. I host The Sports Show on Somer Valley FM. I am also a massive bookworm and comic book geek who is constantly trying to find room for the newest purchase! I recently worked for Greenhouse Learning where I received a mighty amount of valuable experience. As of right now I currently work for SoundVision - a charity organisation that aims to give voices to those less heard. This also involves training students how to be on the radio.

About the lesson

The whole point of tutoring is to help students feel more confident about their educational life. With tutoring, I can offer students a much more valuable and unique experience that they will not get in the classroom. Lessons are more personalised and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed. Lessons are a minimum of an hour long but can go up to three hours for those who are in need; I am incredibly flexible.

Deadly! Alex is an excellent tutor. He teachers both my boys English (aged 8 & 14) and, in just a couple of months, I’ve seen significant progress. They’ve gone from hating English to looking forward to their English lessons with him! Definitely recommend.

I would highly recommend Alex as a tutor, he has broad knowledge on his area of expertise; is patient when it comes to difficult topics to understand; is extremely helpful with any issues that arise within the subject area.

Alex also has great communication skills, especially his ability to listen and help the certain areas of the subject I am not confident in which have really helped to develope my own skills
