About Brynley
I am a Baylor University graduate with teaching endorsements in: Elementary Education (1-8), U.S. History (5-12), Oklahoma History (5-12), Government (5-12), Economics (5-12), World History (5-12), and Geography (5-12). I currently teach 8th grade and 5th grade social studies.
Data is utilized consistently throughout my classroom so that we have direct understandings of where students are at with material. However, I also do not subscribe to the idea that numbers reflect a student's performance. Holistic education encompasses different modes of evaluation, which I also deploy as a tutor.
I currently live in Oklahoma City, am a Teach for America Corps Member, and have two dogs (Mac and Kevin). I am passionate about both education and the subjects I specialize in. I can't wait to work together!

My lessons are for anyone! I can teach any subject that falls under general elementary education, but my distinct set of teaching skills falls under social studies and civics. I also hold degrees in Political Science and Philosophy if you are a college student needing tutoring in those areas!
My teaching style is very hands-on and collaborative. We are working together to develop not only your learning, but the ability to use real-world applications to better prepare you for endeavors far beyond the classroom. I work with students of all calibers, accommodations, and learning styles on a daily basis. I am determined to find the best way to work for you!
Depending on the subject for our lesson, we will begin with review, utilize reading, games, and various scaffolds to identify any areas that need targeted development. Ensuring your education is personal and fits your best learning style is most important to me.
