About Lisolethu
Hello! My name is Lisolethu, and I am an ambitious and driven BCom student specializing in Information Systems and Economics. I am passionate about academic growth, leadership, and helping students unlock their full potential.
I achieved a final matric English mark of 82% & 90% for isiZulu and have developed strong communication and analytical skills through both my studies and professional development opportunities such as my involvement with ABSIP. These experiences have helped shape me into a disciplined, organized, and goal-oriented individual.
What makes me different as a tutor is my focus on strategy and understanding rather than memorization. I believe students perform best when they understand how to approach questions, structure answers effectively, and recognize what examiners are looking for. My lessons are designed to build both academic performance and confidence.
I am proficient in English and isiZulu and strive to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I am committed to professionalism, consistency, and helping every student feel capable of succeeding.

Having achieved a final matric English mark of 82%, I understand both the academic requirements of the subject and the pressure students face when preparing for tests and exams. My teaching style focuses on simplifying complex concepts, breaking down exam-style questions, and teaching practical tips and strategies that help students improve their understanding and performance effectively.
What makes me unique as a tutor is that I do not rely solely on textbook-based teaching. Instead, I focus on helping students understand how questions are asked, what examiners are looking for, and how to structure strong answers confidently. I believe that once students understand the patterns and techniques behind English assessments, they become more confident and independent learners.
I am proficient in English and isiZulu, which allows me to explain concepts clearly to students from different language backgrounds when necessary.
