About Sophia
In 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Ecology and Zoology, with a specialization in Entomology. After university, I got a job as a beekeeper, rearing queen bees, harvesting honey, and organizing pollination contracts. I then started my own queen-rearing business, while managing operations at a large beekeeping company in New Zealand. I have since sold my business, and am traveling around South America, with a home base in Chile. I love teaching people things I am very passionate about, and have had close to 100 beekeeping students in the last 10 years. I also teach English as a second language.

My classes are online theory classes, that enable you to learn the "How, What, and Why" of beekeeping. Learn about the queen, the hive, diseases, and the management of these subjects. Take an in-depth look into queen-rearing, honey production, starting as a hobbyist, and progressing to owning your own business and making money from bees and their products. Once you feel confident that you know enough to keep a colony alive, we can do video calls, allowing you to get real-life mentoring!
