About Olivia
My name is Olivia and I’ve been playing guitar for 13 years. I started when I was 5 years old after seeing an old guitar at my grandma’s house and I felt this instant gravitation towards it and I’ve not put it down since. I’m still quite young but I have such a passion for music and the arts and I want to share that same level of passion with anyone. Throughout my journey playing the guitar I have made many mistakes in terms of understanding notation or messing up a particular part of a piece and it used to knock my confidence sometimes. But what I learnt is that the more mistakes you make the better you become because you are able to learn and correct those mistakes and not only will it help you become a better guitarist but also it will make you feel good on a more personal level. As a guitar teacher I want to help build the same level of confidence in others as I now feel whenever I play no matter what piece or song or whether I forget the occasional note or chord.

Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to improve your skills, I aim to make every lesson enjoyable, engaging, and confidence-building. We’ll work on songs you love while building essential skills like chords, rhythm, strumming patterns, and technique. I break things down into simple steps and adapt lessons to suit your pace, making sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout. Typical lessons last up to 60 minutes with the first one free and are for everyone no matter what level or age with the first one being free!
